With this inspiration , under the heart and soul attempt of Sri Bijoy Lal Chattopadhyay , a renowned poet of contemporary Bengal established this Institution in 1959. The Institute stands on the bank of the river Jalangi in salubrious surroundings free from the din and bustle of urban life and is very close to Sibir bus stand on State highway no. 11 (Krishnanagar-Karimpur Road).

The nearby education-loving people supported and participated whole heartedly in the constitution and progress of the Institution.

Our History

A renowned poet of contemporary Bengal, Sri Bijoy Lal Chattopadhyay, established this Institution in 1959 at Bara Andulia, PS – Chapra, Dist- Nadia, PIN Code : 741124. There were 12 (Twelve) numbers of Principals and In-Charges who had lead (acted as head of Institute) the Institute since 1959 to 2019. Presently Sri Asit Paria is acting as head of Institute since June 30, 2019. This Institute had been controlled by the Directorate of School Education under the supervision of The Dept. of School Education, Govt. of West Bengal. Presently the controlling Authority of the Institute is The State Council of  Educational Research and Training, West Bengal under the supervision of The Dept. of School Education, Govt. of West Bengal since Jan 07, 2022.

Our Vision

Bara Andulia Govt PTTI aspires to be a pioneer in teacher education with an aim to actualize Swami Vivekananda's, Gandhi’s and Others Educationists’ educational vision through the pursuit of excellence in the field of teacher education. Our resolution is to impart a unique blend of modern educational approach and traditional values to future teachers to equip them with the knowledge necessary to face the changing social needs through the discovery, development, and proper implementation of acquired knowledge.  Our focus is also to provide a stimulating early learning and child care experience which promotes each child’s social/emotional, physical and cognitive development.

  • Strategies may be formed towards the 100% attendance of the students as per direction of Right to Educational Act.
  • Implementation of NCF-2005 and NCF-2009.
  • Training Strategies should be made for quality education in the classrooms situation without any discrimination.
  • Implementation of Child Protection Act.
  • Quality improvement of the teachers’ improvement of the system.
